Aylecare Home Care Services was established in 2006 and is a branch of Aylecare Ltd. Due to increased requests for domiciliary care and with personal experience of a close family member not receiving quality care. It was decided to use our great wealth of experience and personal knowledge of what necessitated quality care to branch into home care. This move has since seen us become one of the largest providers of home care across Swansea, whilst still retaining the core values we started off with.
Our aim, is to promote independence for each individual to live in their own home for as long as possible without the need for admittance to a residential care home.
A helping hand
We know making the decision to arrange care for someone can seem a bit of a daunting prospect. But we will help out every step of the way. Our Care Manager will come visit you and the individual needing care and have a friendly chat to introduce ourselves whilst discussing and identifying their needs. This then allows us to design a package of care around them to meet these needs. If the individual is put off by the prospect of carers calling, we can gradually introduce carers over time (if needs allow) to show they can still have their independence and gain trust/confidence in the carers.
Where we cover
At present, we currently cover the majority of the Swansea area. (Current areas include Loughor, Gorseinon, Pontarddulais, Pontlliw, Penclawdd, Gowerton, Waunarlwydd, Dunvant, Killay, Sketty, Townhill, Penlan, Morriston, Mumbles and West Cross). Although we are always keen to operate in new areas, so please contact us to see if we can accommodate if outside of these areas.
Who we care for
We help care for many types of people, such as adults who:
- are ill or recovering from illness
- are dealing with terminal illness
- are physically disabled
- are sensory impaired
- have learning disabilities
- have mental health disorders
- require support to stay at home.
Services we offer
At Aylecare, we can offer a various range of comprehensive and flexible care packages which after consultation can be tailored specifically to your needs, such as:
- Assist with getting up
- Assist with preparing for bed
- Assist with bathing/showering
- Assist with dressing
- Help with incontinence care
- Preparing food and drinks
- Day sits
- Night sits
With our sits, there is no minimum time limit, which is ideal if you need someone to look after a family member whilst you take a break from your caring role.
We know your home is your castle, and that allowing a carer into your home to assist you/or a family member with care and support is a big change. Which is why we take pride in our team of carers, who are thoroughly trained in their induction by our in house Trainer. As well as receiving regular refresher training courses to ensure all their skills are kept up to date.
Our staff also hold a vast experience of working in the home care sector and are fully supported by a team of co-ordinators and managers. All staff are required to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which was previously called the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
